Sculpt your favorite mythical creature out of clay! We will use the pinch pot and additive methods of clay hand-building. Unicorns, narwhals, yetis, dragons, gnomes are some of the creatures we can create. The possibilities are endless! All ages are welcome. We will spend one hour creating our creatures and the next hour painting them with underglazes. You will schedule a time to pick up...

It's Back! Art in the Park will have new sculptures, refreshments and Jive For Five. It will be held on Thursday, August 4th at the West Twin Park in Webster City, Iowa. It will begin at 5:00 pm. Bring the family and enjoy an outing!

Come and help clean up the garbage out of our Boone River. We will clean up 4.6 miles of the river from Riverside Park to the Briggs Woods Park. Printmaking is about wondering and experimenting with a variety of tools. It will be about finding alternate uses for everyday items. In this class, we will experiment with natural tools. Leaves, twigs, and grasses will be used to discover new approaches to creating marks on our surfaces and building layers. We will use acrylic paints and inks. Create leaf-shaped bowls from clay. You will collect leaves outside. They will be pressed into clay slabs and draped into bowl molds. Have you ever hiked in the woods after dark? Come check it off your bucket list on this guided night hike. We will follow the luminary pumpkins on the woodland trails. We will learn about nocturnal woodland animals and their special adaptations for night time survival. This is a joint program between Webster and Hamilton County Conservation Boards.
