The Boone River Valley Festival is held Memorial Day weekend each year. Named one of the top 10 best outdoor festivals in Iowa! Come enjoy the music, arts, and the great outdoors, the Boone River Valley Festival has it all!
Jewell Jubilee
Annually in June
The Annual Jewell Jubilee is held on the second full weekend in June. It starts on the Friday with the Jewell BBQ and on Saturday it starts on Main Street with the parade. Both days have additional offerings.
Ellsworth extravaganza

The Ellsworth Extravaganza is held every other year ~ even years. Parade, games for the kids and food!

Stratford bluegrass festival

Four fantastic days of the annual Bluegrass music Festival in Stratford Iowa! Parade, eats and of course, Bluegrass music. The fun starts the Thursday before the Second full weekend in July.
Watermelon Day

The must attend event in Stanhope, Iowa. Their annual Watermelon Day is like no other in the State! Free parade, watermelon and activities. Family fun at its best. Held the Third weekend in July.
Boone County Fair

The Boone County Fair has been at its current location in Boone Iowa for nearly 100 years! Traditions of family entertainment, livestock exhibition, carnival rides and camping are just a few of the things that those who attend the county fair annually enjoy!
Hamilton County Fair
Annually in July
The Hamilton County Fair is held annually during the fourth week/weekend in July. The week is kicked off on Tuesday with a parade. It runs through the main business section on Second Street and ends out at the Fair Grounds. Come enjoy all the happenings only a local County Fair can offer!
Iowa Girls State Softball Championships
Annually in July
The Iowa Girls State Softball Championship brings together the top 8 High School teams in each of the 5 classes at Rogers Sports Complex to crown a champion in 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, and 5A schools.

The Madrid Labor Day Celebration is held Labor Day weekend each year, and is a great time to visit Madrid, Iowa. There are many family friendly activities, including free inflatables, fireworks, parade, and the famous Car Show on Sunday.
