Get away from the crowds and enjoy a backcountry escape. These remote campsite locations provide an open shelter and fire pit with grill. A maximum of six people can occupy this site. Registered campers hike through the woodlands from the front parking lot to their remote get-a-way.

Gypsum City OHV Campground

The Gypsum City OHV Park is located on the southeast corner of Fort Dodge. The park is approximately 800 acres in size and includes 60 miles of trails for use by ATV’s, side by sides and off-road motorcycles. There is a 33 site campground with 3 tiny homes located in the heart of the park.

Gypsum City Tiny Homes

These tiny homes have the amenities of home. Inside the 28-foot by 10-foot home, there is room for two to sleep on a full-size bed along with a set of built-in bunk beds (these beds are aimed for use by children). There is a full bathroom with shower, sink, toilet, mini kitchen counter with sink, microwave, medium-sized refrigerator and freezer, and a window air unit.

Kennedy Park Campground

This park is a 400-acre multiple use recreation area. The 53-acre Badger Lake provides the focal point for a wide variety of outdoor activities including camping, fishing, picnicking, hiking, canoeing and boating (no gas motors) as well as the 18 hole Lakeside Municipal Golf Course.

Kennedy Park Yurts

Webster County has recently joined the growing national “glamping” trend by offering two full-service yurts. The yurts offer a unique stay at Kennedy Park for people that may have an interest in camping , but don’t want to invest in a camper or give up their “comforts of home.” Each yurt offers a kitchen, bathroom, bulk beds, soft-sleeper, air-conditioning, deck, fire pit and grill.

Ledges State Park Campgrounds

Ledges offers both electric and non-electric campsites. There are several hike-in sites and one youth group campsite. Modern restrooms, showers, dump station and a playground are located in the campground also.

Little Wall Lake Park Cabins
